Eleven. (Or, El, If You're Stranger Things Fans Like Us.)

You may think there is nothing stranger than no sports on TV, no kids in the gym playing volleyball and no parents gabbing about whatever it is that's on our minds. I'm here to tell you there is! Having one your kiddos turn 21 during a restaurant/bar shutdown has it beat. Our plan was to spend a long weekend in Bristol, TN and watch him play - and beat - cross conference rivals Mt. Olive and Barton College. We had a group of 20 ready to road trip there from Wisconsin and North Carolina and California. State Street would not have been the same after Uncle Mike, Gramps and Tom Deppe made their way up and down with JT in tow. Instead, we're home hanging with the family. The boys are really happy to have big brother home. They are all huddling together, avoiding mom who keeps giving them chores. Tonight, I'm making dinner. We've got a banana cream pie and each other. Can't wait to see the NC and Cali crew soon! And can't believe we've got a kiddo that has turned into such a wonderful human being. (Except for that god awful chin hair!) Happy 21 to #9, JT! Woot woot!!
